AR Museum App

Brief: Wireframe an app that will help bring people into the museum. Start with 4 exhibits on the history of travel in Australia. Do not use information outside of headings/buttons, pay attention to the layout and client feedback.

Constraints: Wireframe ONLY. Limit colour, preferably greyscale. Do not rely on information to attract users. No more than three clicks to get from the home page to anywhere else, no more than three back to the home page. Add a feature to generate interest in the museum.

Engine: Moqups

Timeframe: One week

Role: UX/UI Designer

Team: Avery Whelan, Marcus Ing

Result: This project went very well. The idea of a travel museum app wasn't much of a draw to people so we had to rely heavily on creating a system that would attract people based on the usability of the app, what might be done with it later (travel is a bit of a niche interest). Our testing went well, starting with a majority of testers admitting they would never use the app. By the third and final iteration, over 60% of testers wanted to use the real thing, 30% were interested depending on the content and only a small percentage said they had absolutely no interest in the app at all.
